Silver in Their Veins has returned from the printer, and it looks and sounds great. Contact me with the contact form on this site to order your copy! CDs are $17 each, which includes shipping (unless you live far, far away where shipping is crazy expensive). The CD is also available in Bloomington, IN at the Wandering Turtle art gallery for $15. I’ll have the music on iTunes Music Store and eMusic soon, but the CD art and 12-page booklet are top-notch and worth adding to your collection.
I’m thrilled to be able to offer Silver in Their Veins to you, and give the deepest thanks to everyone has made it possible for this moment to arrive. Thank you all, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
We have a big ol’ box of CDs ready to give away to you and all of your friends. It’s got three songs (“Hollow Hill is Gone,” Counting On You,” and “Thicker Than Blood”) and very spiffy cover art by M.J. Stamper. Drop me a line from the contact form here on the site and we’ll send you a few copies of the CD to spread around. You might even receive a secret treat.
The main release is getting closer and closer to completion. We’re putting the final touches on the mixes and the cover art, dealing with the nuts and bolts of fabrication, and the like. Stay tuned!
The advance release of Silver in Their Veins is right around the corner. It features three songs (“Hollow Hill is Gone,” “Counting On You,” and “Thicker Than Blood”) and was produced and engineered by Mahern Audio in Bloomington, Indiana at Farm Fresh and Echo Park studios. The advance release is available for free. Simply provide your mailing address via the contact form of this web site. The creative team is in the process of finishing an additional seven songs, and when these are finished the full album will be released in CD, LP, and electronic formats. It will be availble for sale at quality retail outlets in Bloomington, as well as on the web via iTunes, eMusic, and others.
The team assembled for the project includes Paul Mahern (producer), Alex Kroh and Neal Warner (engineers), Jamey Reid (drums, percussion), Scott Kellogg (bass, vocals, synthesizer, songwriter), Keith Skooglund (guitar), Slats Klug (keyboards), and Bobbie Lancaster (vocals). The graphic design team includes M.J. Stamper (cover art and layout) and Natasha Komoda (photographer).
Silver in Their Veins represents the culmination of a long musical journey which began long ago in northern California. I would especially like to recognize the talent, generosity, and wisdom of Ray and Billie Kellogg, without whom this project would have not been possible. Last but absolutely not least, Karen Knight has been my companion and cheerleader in the darkest of times, and deserves the highest praise.
It is often said that if you believe in a dream and work diligently to reach the far shore, you will reach your destination. For many years this seemed a fantasy. It is reality.
